Inspiration & Technology 12/18/23

Where do you find inspiration to dance? I love the fact that I can watch a variety of dance all over the world from my phone. I am constantly wowed by what people are posting on their social media. My senior thesis discussed how dance would have to adapt and change as the world evolved. It's been exciting to see the role dance has played in technology within sites like tik tok and instagram. Have you embraced these changes in the dance world? In many ways it has made dance much more accessible. It has given a voice to underrepresented dancers and groups. Technology and dance has historically had a love/hate sort of relationship with one another. Like most things I try to find balance. (Dance pun intended) How do we keep classical dance traditions and also honor the undeniably urge for development and change within our art?

 By participating in the Online Dance Lessons offered by Dance with Ms. Chrystie, you will receive information and instruction about movement, dancing & related activities.  You recognize that this requires physical exertion, which may be strenuous and can cause physical injury, and You are fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.

  2.  In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Online dance, movement and related activities, you agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which might incur as a result of participating in the program.

  3. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the Online Dance Lessons, you knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim you may have against Dance with Ms. Chrystie and/or its agents for injury or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in the program.

  4.  You understand that recording of the Online Dance Lessons is strictly prohibited. You agree to not reproduce, sell, share or distribute any recordings of the Online Dance Lessons.

  5.  You, my heirs or legal representatives forever release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue Dance with Ms. Chrystie and/or its agents for any injury caused by their negligence or other acts.
